MICROS South Africa was formed in February 1997 with the acquisition of the distributor rights for Southern Africa for the then Micros inc. solution set. Micros South Africa currently employs 330 installation and support specialists, account managers and administration staff.
We operate a 24/7 call centre offering comprehensive support services to our current install base in excess of 3500 restaurants and 700 hotels. Today we are an Oracle Gold Hospitality Partner and distribute the entire Oracle Hospitality Global Business Unit product set.
In July 2017 Micros South Africa was acquired by Adapt IT, Adapt IT is a leader in the ICT market through the provision of software solutions to the Education, Manufacturing, Energy, Financial Services, Communications and Hospitality sectors, employing over 1 000 technology professionals and servicing more than 10 000 customers in 53 countries.
Adapt IT’s South African offices are in Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, and international offices in Mauritius, Botswana, Ireland, Kenya, Australia and New Zealand.
In August 2022, Micros South Africa, expanded its presence by acquiring Agileum Hospitality in Mauritius. This strategic move allowed Adapt IT’s Hospitality business to broaden its reach and strengthen its offerings in the hospitality sector.
